NEOM Relocation

Client: NEOM
Delivery: August 2024

The Neom Relocation Project was a complex undertaking that involved moving and repurposing a significant amount of infrastructure from the existing Gayal Peninsula site to a new location. This ambitious endeavor successfully created a dynamic and sustainable ‘NEOM Sport Hub’ that served as a central hub for sporting activities and events.

The project entailed relocating assets from the Athlete’s Village, VIP Village, Workforce Villages, and Adventure Sports Hub, including dismantling, transportation, reinstallation, and testing. Additionally, we successfully removed existing landscaping and replanted it at the new site, while also integrating the Adventure Sports Hub into a permanent utilities network. To ensure accessibility for all guests, we adapted five cabins at the new location to meet their needs. Furthermore, we reinstated the Gayal Peninsula site to its original state.

The new site, incorporates a massive 20 kilometers of MEP infrastructure works, is located near NEOM Community 1 and offers stunning coastal views. While the final road connections were established later, we utilized temporary access roads to ensure operational readiness for 2024.

The NEOM Sport Hub successfully brought together the three existing villages into a unified complex, housing a total of 350 cabins. During events, this complex could be temporarily divided into an Athlete’s Village and a Workforce Village to accommodate different groups.

The Adventure Sports Hub was situated at the southern end of the site, providing direct access to the sea. This relocation project was a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our vision for a thriving NEOM community.
